Return to the Aldi Wine Tour
This evening we return to the Aldi Spanish wine tour with a 2011 Conde Roble Rioja Reserva. Pungent and raw, this selection displays a strong constitution. It pairs well with grilled red meats, roasted lamb and chicken and hard cheeses. Intense red fruit flavors of black currant and cherry are complemented with a heady suggestion of old oak casks nested in stone barns on the northern Spanish plains. $6.99 Aldi.
